Obituary for Louise Labrie Robinson.
Louise E. Robinson, 85, a resident of Route 67 East, Shaftsbury died peacefully on Thursday evening, February 25, 2016 at her residence. Born in Bennington on July 23, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Emma (Corriveau) LaBrie. She received her education in the local schools and was a graduate of Bennington High School. Louise married Richard A. Robinson on February 6, 1954 at Sacred Heart Church in Bennington. She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years at Stanley Tool Company in Shaftsbury until the time of her retirement. Louise was a member at St. John the Baptist Church in North Bennington. Her home and family were her main interest. She was a skillful artist with oils and water colors and doing counted cross-stitch. She also enjoyed cooking and the many hours spent in her garden. Survivors include her husband Richard of Shaftsbury; two sons, William (Lucy) Robinson of Shaftsbury and James (Linda Smith) Robinson of North Bennington; three grandchildren, Amanda, Christopher and Elizabeth and a great-granddaughter, Abagail; a brother, Clarence (Annette) LaBrie of Alplaus, NY; two sisters, Pauline Andrews of Pownal and Rachel (Ron) Lauzon of Pownal; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. Should friends desire memorial contributions in Louise E. Robinson's memory may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in North Bennington.
